SPED 4475 - Student Teaching/Seminar: Special Education K-12: General Curriculum

Student teaching is a planned sequence of experiences in the student’s area of specialization conducted in an approved school setting under the supervision and coordination of a university supervisor and a cooperating teacher. During student teaching, the student must demonstrate the competencies identified for his/her specific teaching field in an appropriate grade level setting. The student is assigned 15 weeks in a school setting. In addition, the student participates in 8-10 on-campus seminars scheduled throughout the semester.

Restriction(s): Admission to Teacher Education; admission to Special Education Program; application to Student Teaching; completion of electronic portfolio Evidence 2 and Evidence 3.
