NURS 6275 - Health Promotion, Nutrition, and Wellness for Older Adults Explores self-care measures and health promotion practices with an emphasis on nutrition, that promote a healthy lifestyle. Topics include: principles of teaching and learning adapted to diverse older adults’ needs and learning styles. Common barriers to healthcare and appropriate nutrition in older adults are also examined. Current findings from research will be integrated throughout the course. A foundational knowledge of human development is expected.
