SOWK 6151 - Social Work, Social Justice, and Diversity Examines individual, systemic, and ideological factors related to diversity and social justice. Theories and perspectives that contribute to understanding oppression and privilege are emphasized. Implications for social work practice, research, and policy are examined. Strategies to counter discrimination and oppression are identified. Requires considerable critical analysis and selfreflection on the part of participants.
