ARTE 4122 - Secondary Art Methods


Analysis of learning themes as related to growth and development in the visual arts; organization of tools, media, and materials appropriate for the secondary level; curriculum design in planning art units and lessons, evaluation, and motivation techniques.  A practicum of a minimum of twenty hours in a secondary setting is required, where the student assists the teacher, and on at least two occasions practically experiences teaching.  Five contact hours.

Restriction(s): Art Education major concentration and admission to student teaching.
Prerequisite(s): ARTE 3121  with grade of C or above.
