SOCY 4169 - Health Disparities


Introduction to medical sociological concepts and frameworks necessary to understand health disparities.  Examines race, class, and gender-based patterns of inequality. Explores mechanisms that help create and maintain inequality in health, with a focus on racial disparities in physical health.

Prerequisite(s): SOCY 1101  and SOCY 2169 , or permission of instructor.
