NANO 8353 - Supramolecular Chemistry of Nanomaterials Explores the design, synthesis, and applications of supramolecular nanomaterials. Introduction to the background and development of the field, analytical methods, design of supramolecular building blocks, active areas of research, and applications of new materials. Topics include: the thermodynamics of molecular recognition, host-guest chemistry, self-assembly, mechanical bonding, solid-state supramolecular chemistry, and supramolecular polymerization.
