BIOL 4253 - Marine Microbiology


Credit Hours: (4)

Bacteria, fungi and viruses of marine origin, and their response to the salt, temperature, pressure and nutrient environment of the ocean. Roles of marine microorganisms in public health, pollution and fouling.

Prerequisite(s): BIOL 4250  and BIOL 4250L  with grades of C or above.
Hours of Lecture and/or Lab per week: Three lecture hours and one laboratory period of three hours a week.
