Lectures in microbial metabolism and physiology, including such topics as bacterial nutrition, transport mechanisms, catabolism and energy production, biosynthesis, global regulation of gene expression.

Prerequisite(s): BIOL 4250 with grade of C or above.
Hours of Lecture and/or Lab per week: Three one-hour lectures per week.
