GEOG 8402 - Multi-Attribute Assessment/Evaluation for Planning & Decision-Making


Credit Hours: (3)

The course provides a survey and comparison of multi-attribute assessment and evaluation methods in spatial planning and decisionmaking; and discusses the implementation of these methods with the aid of geographic information techniques. Topics include: land suitability/vulnerability assessment, environmental and social impact assessment, risk assessment, site selection, plan evaluation, and multi-criteria decision analysis.

Prerequisite(s): Permission of the instructor.
