CEGR 6181 - Traffic Flow Theory

Logical foundations and mathematical representation of traffic flow; interrelation between microscopic and macroscopic equations of motion for highway traffic; stochastic properties of traffic at low and moderate densities. Car-following theories of traffic flow at high densities. Applications of queuing theory.
Prerequisite(s): CEGR 5161 and permission of department.
