One and two-dimensional consolidation, layered strata effects, and creep; seepage in layered strata, flow net, and seepage forces; shear strength parameters, effective and total stress paths, and application for slope stability evaluation; principles of critical state soil mechanics; computer applications.
Prerequisite(s): CEGR 3258, CEGR 3278, and permission of department.
