EDCI 8131 - Research in English Studies

The discipline of English–its nature, its history, and its methods. Emphasis on (1) the interrelations of literature, language, and writing; and (2) the diversity of cultural origins and critical perspectives in English studies, with concentration on selected major critical approaches. Intensive writing and practice in methods of research.
